PurrrrrFocus (hereinafter referred to as "we" or "this app") takes your privacy protection very seriously. This privacy policy details how we protect your personal information. By using this app, you agree to the practices described in this privacy policy.

Information Collection

This app is primarily local-first and does not collect personally identifiable information such as your name, email, or phone number:

Local Data: Tasks you create, focus records, settings preferences, etc., are stored only locally on your device.
No Data Collection: The app does not collect any usage statistics or analytics data.
Focus data stays local by default: Sessions, stats, and notes remain on your device and are not used for advertising.
Optional network (Invite Friends): Only when you choose to use this feature, we obtain an anonymous app transaction identifier from the App Store and process the invite code you enter or share and information related to reward requests for this program. We do not collect your contacts, name, email address, or phone number.
In-App Purchases: The app provides Plus version in-app purchase functionality. Payment processing is handled by Apple App Store, and we do not collect or store your payment information.
Screen Time Access (Optional): If you enable Whitelist Mode during focus sessions, PurrrrrFocus may request Screen Time permission provided by iOS to help limit distracting apps while you focus. This feature works entirely on-device through Apple's Screen Time APIs. We do not collect, upload, analyze, or share your Screen Time activity or app usage data.

Data Usage

App functionality is primarily based on local data on your device. We do not use your focus records for advertising or profiling:

Provide app functionality: Based on local data on your device
Provide customer support: Through in-app feedback feature
Ensure app security and stability: Through iOS system security mechanisms
Support Whitelist Mode through iOS Screen Time access
Comply with legal obligations: Follow relevant laws and regulations
Provide Invite Friends (optional): When you use this feature, our servers match invitations, deliver program rewards, and apply program rules (including preventing duplicate or abusive claims)

Note: Focus-related data is processed on your device by default; network processing for Invite Friends occurs only when you use that feature, as described in this section.

Data Storage

Local Database: Uses iOS CoreData framework to store your focus records, task data, etc.
System Settings: Uses iOS UserDefaults to store app settings and preferences
Device Local: Your focus records, task data, settings, and other general app data are stored only on your device
Invite Friends: Information needed to redeem codes and deliver invite-program rewards is processed on our servers (not synced to iCloud)
No Cloud Sync: Data is not synced to iCloud or other cloud services
Data Export: Plus version supports exporting data in CSV/Excel format, files stored in device local temporary directory
Data Deletion: You can delete local data at any time through in-app settings

Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or transfer your personal information to third parties. Except as required by law or when you choose to share, we may only share information in the following circumstances:

With your explicit consent
To comply with legal requirements or court orders
To protect our rights, property, or safety

User-Initiated Sharing Features:

Data Export Feature: Plus version supports exporting your focus data in CSV/Excel format. Exported files are stored in device local temporary directory, and you can choose to share the data to other apps through system sharing functionality
App Sharing Feature: You can share app recommendations to other users. Shared content includes App Store links and does not contain personal data
Invite Friends: You can share an invitation with other users through the system sharing functionality
Focus & Achievement Cards: You can share Focus Summary, Focus Story, or achievement cards; achievement cards can also be saved to your photo album. Cards may include session or period focus highlights you choose to share, or achievement names and descriptions. Sharing uses the system sharing functionality

Note: Apart from the above user-initiated sharing behaviors, we do not automatically share your data. The use of data after sharing is controlled by you and the recipients, and we do not participate in it.

Data Security

We take appropriate technical measures to protect your personal information:

Local-first: Focus records and settings are stored on your device by default
Secure Transmission: Information used for Invite Friends is transmitted over secure connections
System Protection: Data is protected by iOS system security mechanisms
Data Isolation: App data is completely isolated from other app data

Your Rights

You have full control over your on-device data:

Data Access: You can view your locally stored app data at any time
Data Modification: You can modify or delete your locally stored app data at any time
Data Export: Plus version supports exporting focus statistics data in CSV/Excel format
Data Reset: You can reset your locally stored app data at any time
Data Deletion: Deleting the app removes data stored locally on your device

This app does not use traditional email accounts, so there is no separate account-deletion flow.

Children's Privacy

This app is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we discover that we have collected information from a child under 13, we will delete it immediately.

Policy Changes

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated through in-app notifications or update logs. Continued use of the app indicates your acceptance of the updated policy.
